I make bespoke hardwood picture frames to order from new and recycled timber. Where possible I use timber that has been something else such as furniture or kitchen cupboard doors. I also use my local timber yard as there is always an interesting piece of wood in the off cuts box!! I machine the timber from its starting state into smooth planks and then cut it into lengths ready to be made into frames. My frames are all handmade and are glued and pegged at the corners, usually in a contrasting hardwood, for extra strength. They are finished with several coats of oil to show off the beautiful natural grain and patterns in the wood.
I regularly use Oak, Teak, Cherry, Poplar, Ash, Walnut and Sapele to make frames but am always happy to discuss other options if you have something else in mind.
Choice of timber is subject to availability.
I make frames to fit up to an external mount size of 19” x 14” (Picture size 6” x 4” to 15” x 10”) which includes glass, backing board and fittings for £85.00 - £100.00 depending on the timber used.
Prices for larger frames available on request.
Frames can be delivered depending on location and postage options can be discussed at point of order.
Every picture frame is unique so please contact me via phone or email to discuss options and to place an order.
